Enjoy the first weekend of autumn with the Alpen Schuhplattlers!  We’re performing at two festivals on Sunday, September 28, 2014.

Forward march!

The Alpen Schuhplattlers are marching in the German Alliance parade on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014. Marchers will parade down East Ohio Street through Pittsburgh’s historic Deutschtown neighborhood, starting at 11 AM. This year’s German-American honorees are Jim Falcioni — musician, impresario, dancer, producer, and long-time member of the Alpen Schuhplattlers! — and Dr. Peter Safar, the father of modern emergency medicine.


Alpen Bavarian Fest with musical guest Alex Meixner

Alex Meixner Our Alpen Bavarian Fest is coming up on August 9, 2014! Join the Alpen Schuhplattlers for an evening of dancing and music with Grammy nominee Alex Meixner at the Teutonia Männerchor from 7:30PM – midnight.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under. A delicious buffet dinner will be served in the Ratskellar from 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM for a separate charge.

Alpen Schuhplattlers 50. Stiftungsfest

ASuTV 50th logo 3aEveryone is welcome to celebrate 50 years of dancing, tradition and friendship at our 50. Stiftungsfest.  Don’t forget to reserve tickets for our banquet, Bauernmesse and brunch!  Please send in your reservations by April 11th.

Banquet: April 26, 2014 @ 6PM, IBEW Circuit Center, South Side

Join us for a delicious German dinner and an evening of dance performances and dancing to the music of the Barons.  Adult tickets $40; kids 10 and under $15.

Bauernmesse and Brunch: April 27, 2014 @ 10AM, Teutonia Männerchor

Finish the weekend with a traditional Bauernmesse sung in German.  Join us afterwards for brunch featuring a pig roast!  Brunch tickets: $10.
